Senator representing Anambra South, Ifeanyi Ubah has defected from the Young Progressives Party (YPP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The President of the Senate Godswil Akpabio, who made this known at Thursday’s plenary, said the lawmakers cited irreconcilable differences as reason for defecting.

Meanwhile, Ubah, while addressing newsmen shortly after plenary said he took the decision in the interest of his constituents.

Senator Ubah, was elected under the Young Progressive Party (YPP) in 2019 and re-elected under the same party in the 2023 General Elections.
