Senators donate N109m to Kaduna Military drone mishap victims

The 109 senators of the 10th National Assembly have forefieted N1million each from their salaries, amounting to N109 million to victims of military drone mishap in Tudun Biri, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Mr Ismail Mudashir, Spokesperson to the Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, who made the announcement in Abuja, said the deputy President announced the donation at the Kaduna State Government House when he led a Senate delegation to commiserate with the state government and the people.

The spokesperson quoted Jibrin as saying that the money would be forwarded to Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani for onward delivery to the victims.

High point of the visit by the lawmakers according to Mudashiru, was the visit to the Barau Dikko Hospital where survivors of the incident were receiving treatment.

He said the senate delegation to Kaduna State included the Majority Leader, Opeyemi Bamidele; Chief Whip, Ali Ndume; Minority Leader, Abba Moro; and Deputy Minority Leader, Kamorudeen Olalere.

Others according to him are senators Abdulaziz Yar’Adua, Aliyu Bilbis, Abdulhamid Malam-Madori, Ibrahim Lamido, Ibrahim Bomoi, Victor Umeh, Emmanuel Udende, Muntari Dandutse, Lawal Usman.
