Sen. Sani mourns Ubah

Sen. Shehu Sani has expressed sadness over the passing of Sen.Ifeanyi Uba, who reportedly died in a London.

Sani, former lawmaker, representing Kaduna Central, said the death of the lawmaker, who died at the age of 52, had left a great vacuum in the nation.

He said, “I received the sad news of the demise of Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah, representing Anambra South.

“The nation has lost a great politician, an accomplished businessman and an outstanding promoter of football.”

Sani prayed God to grant his soul eternal rest.

QuestNews reports that rumours of Sen. Ubah’s death filtered in, in the early hours of Saturday, July 27.

The cause of his death has however been sketchy as some reports claim he died in a hospital while other claim he died in a hotel.

The lawmaker, who, represented Anambra South Senatorial District, defected from the Young Progressives Party(YPP,) to the ruling All Progressives Congress(APC) in 2023.

According to reports, the defection move was linked to Ubah’s renewed desire to run for governorship in the next Anambra State electron.

Ubah was a serving senator until his demise.

He was also the Chief Executive Officer of Capital Oil as well as founder of Authority Newspaper and Ifeanyi Ubah Football Club among others.
