NLC will ensure minimum wage Implementation- Ajaero

The President of the Nigeria Labour Congress(NLC), Joe Ajaero, said the congress was committed to ensuring implementation of the N70,000 Minimum Wage across Nigeria.

Ajaero, who, made this known in Abuja after honouring Police invitation over alleged terrorism financing and cybercrime, said the body would continue to press for the minimum wage implementation.

While stating that some state governments had commenced implementation, he stressed that other states were yet to do same.

According to him, the NLC remains unperturbed by alleged attempts to undermine its efforts.

“Everything that will make the welfare of the Nigerian workers worthwhile, we will be involved in,” he said.

Ajaero, had visited the Police Intelligence Response Team (IRT) earlier on Thursday
to honour Police invitation.

Prior to the visit, the Central Working Committee(CWC) of the body, issued a circular to its members across Nigeria, directing them to embark on a solidarity march with the NLC President.
