Tinubu appoints Lawal CEO NSIPA, six others

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Dr. Badamasi Lawal as Chief Executive Officer(CEO), National Social Investment Program Agency (NSIPA).

This is contained in a statement by Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity.

Dr. Lawal holds a Doctorate Degree in Education and previously served as commissioner in Katsina State.

The president also approved the appointment of six person’s to head some agencies and programmes under the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development.

Ms. Lami Bello was appointed as Director-General, National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons(NAPTIP).

Binta holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and has served as Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Health among others.

Ms. Funmilola Olotu was appointed as Programme Manager, National Social Safety-Net Coordinating Office.

Olotu holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and is the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Lagos State on State Lotteries.

Ms. Aishat Alubankudi, was appointed as Programme Manager, Grant for Vulnerable Groups.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Community Developmen and has experience as a risk assessor and financial manager.

The president further appointed Dr Aderemi Adebowale as Programme Manager, Home Grown School Feeding.

She is the Special Adviser to the Governor of Lagos State on Civic Engagement and previously served as a Local Government Chairperson.

Equally, the president appointed Mr. Abdullahi Alhassan Imam as Programme Manager, National Cash Transfer Office.

Imam holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy and has served as Chief Accountant, Northern Dairies Ltd, and as a Bank Manager.

Tinubu also appointed Mr. Ayuba Gufwan as Executive Secretary, National Commission for People with Disabilities

Gufwan holds an LLB and is the Executive Director, Beautiful Gate Handicapped People Centre, Jos.

The President urged the appointees to discharge their functions with diligence, to ensure that Nigerians, particularly the vulnerable, benefitted exclusively and directly from the welfare programmes.
