Senate confirms Bello, Chairman CCB

The Senate has confirmed Mr Abdullahi Bello as Chairman, Code of Conduct Bureau(CCB).

The confirmation followed consideration of report of the Committee on Ethics, Code of Conduct and Public Petitions at plenary on Thursday.

In his presentation, Sen. Imasuen Neda Bernards, Chairman, Senate Committee on Ethics, Code of Conduct and Public Petitions, while presenting the report said the nominee was screened and found fit to hold the position.

He urged the senate to confirm him, to head the bureau, following his qualification.

QuestNews reports that Bello was appointed by President Bola Tinubu in accordance with Section 154 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to head the CCB.
