Hardship: Bear with us, we will make up-Tinubu

HPresident Bola Tinubu has called on Nigerians to bear with the present administration as it is making effort to ameliorate their suffering.

The president made the plea at the Nigerian Defence Academy 60th anniversary, trooping and presentation of colours in Kaduna.

He assured that government would continue to carry out measures to bring solace to the people.

He further said, “if there are shortfalls, bear with us, we will make up. A united prosperous Nigeria is within our reach.”

Tinubu called on all Nigerians to continue to demonstrate the spirit of oneness exhibited when the Super Eagles defeated Bafana Bafana of South Africa in the semi final at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations(AFCON).

He urged Nigerians to continue to fight a common cause for the growth and development of the country.

“In the past few days Nigerians have been united, excited and committed in patriotism to our fatherland,” he said.

Tinubu commended the military for their effort in tackling insecurity in the country.

“Government is aware of your sacrifices especially in the face of daunting challenges,”he said.

The president said priority would be accorded to the needs of the military, to enable it play its constitutional role without hindrance.

While commending the military for its fight against terrorism and other forms of insecurity, Tinubu called for the need to “upscale the fight against insecurity which has robbed us of peace and progress.

“While we celebrate the relative peace we enjoy, we must all remember that the war is not over yet.

“You are doing a good job; I appreciate your sacrifices and we will continue to push for the development, peace and prosperity of this nation.”
