Yuletide: 50% transport slash commences as five companies participate

The 50 per cent transport reduction by the Federal Government for Nigerians travelling for the Yuletide has commenced, with five companies engaged to play about 28 youths within Nigeria.

The Minister of Solid Minerals, Mr Dele Alake had announced that the initiative would last between Dec. 21 and Jan. 4, 2024.

Alake also said that the routes to benefit from the initiative are Abuja, Maiduguri, Port Harcourt Lagos, Kano, Enugu, Kaduna, Ibadan, Sokoto, Akure, Owerri as well as major inter-state transportation hubs.

Meanwhile, the Special Adviser to President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, disclosed on his X handle that five transport companies had been drafted to participate in the scheme.

According to him, the companies are God is Good(GIG), Young Shall Grow, Chisco, God Bless Ezenwata.
