Customs boss urges personnel to maintain high level of professionalism

The Acting Comptroller-General of Customs(CGC), Wale Adeniyi, has called on officers to uphold high level of integrity and professionalism in the discharge of their duties.

The Ag. CGC made the call at the Passing Out Parade of Course 1/2023 cadets at the Nigeria Customs Service Training College in Lagos.

Adeniyi while stating the important role played by the service in nation building, said every officer ought to live above board.

On efforts made by the service to ensure adequate training for it’s personnel, the customs boss said “officers within the superintendent cadre will henceforth undergo mandatory refresher course every five years.”

The Training College Commandant, Deputy Controller(DC) Haniel Hadisson, urged the cadets to continue to maintain the high standard of discipline exhibited during their compulsory six-month training.

He commended ACG for the support provided to ensure the success of the programme.

Highpoint of the event was, award were presented to outstanding cadets.

Quest News reports that a total of 81 cadets completed their training and passed out after six months.
